With spans up to 45m and no centre poles, the interior is completely clear, easier to clean, easier to reconfigure, and gives pigs full freedom to move without obstructions. We can design pen layouts around your specific herd structure, ensuring every group is adequately separated.
Temperature management is also built in. The SMARTSHIELD® fabric keeps the shed 3-4°C warmer in winter and 3-4°C cooler in summer compared to outside conditions, reducing the need for supplementary heating or cooling systems and cutting the associated running costs.
It is recommended that you allow 5-6m² of space per pig if you house them in an enclosed space. Piggery structures need suitably sized feed troughs and drinkers, and enough open space for pigs to move and exercise freely.
