Moisture is the biggest challenge when storing aggregate materials like fertiliser, concrete, or sand. You need a well-ventilated space with a regular source of cool, dry air, ideally lit by natural light to help with evaporation. The space should be covered to protect the material from rain and wind — but it must also be accessible to vehicles used to deposit the material. You also need to separate different types of materials to avoid cross-contamination.
