The short answer is it’s best to check. Generally speaking, gaining building consent is the rule rather than the exception, so it’s wise to assume you might. There do however exist a number of exemptions that may apply to a dome barn construction, including:
Yes, a SmartShelters dome barn can be either mounted directly on the ground or, if you require extra height, on top of containers. Due to their design, Dome barns are only suited to be mounted on the ground. SmartShelters’ commercial structures include options for container mounting.
SmartShelters dome barns can be mounted directly into the earth using waratah ground anchors, into a concrete foundation using concrete bolts, or on top of containers if extra height is required.
SmartShelters dome barns are available with white or dark green roof cover membranes.
Our fabrics are super strength high grade PE coated and are specifically designed for the NZ environment.
We have a 12 year warranty with high snow and high wind ratings, high UV protection and excellent light transmission.
