Ready to make the smart choice?
At 4.9m long, the Smart 4900 Header Rail spans the standard 5m spacing between timber poles and is the best pipe to use for the top rail to keep cows in without rubbing or causing any issues that impact their ability to feed easily. The 76mm pipe is strong and has proven its durability in the field, handling large cows and bulls without damage.
The header rail should be mounted between 850-1000mm above the feeding height and positioned to the outside of the pole to allow for optimal feeding. With different cow heights its best to test on a single bay before mounting all header rails.
