Actors and film crew from all over the world came to New Zealand to film the giant prehistoric shark movie. Our 36m x 47.5m double stacked container shelter covered a 1.3 million litre heated dive tank.
The blockout fabric for the roof cover was specially imported from Canada and fitted with a blue inner liner to create ideal shooting conditions. The entire installation took only a couple of weeks to complete which was ideal to help the film crew achieve their tight timeframes. The shelter will stay permanently at Kumeu Film Studios and will be in use for many years to come.
