CONTAINERS

We can supply new or used shipping containers for our Container mounted shelters.

AVAILABLE SIZES:

• 20 feet General Purpose Container (2.45m wide x 6.1m length x 2.6m height) 
• 20 feet High Cube Container (2.45m wide x 6.1m length x 2.9m height) 
• 40 feet General Purpose Container (2.45m wide x 12.2m length x 2.6m height) 
• 40 feet High Cube Container (2.45m wide x 12.2m length x 2.9m height) 

The containers can be stacked with the use of twistlocks to form a higher subframe for the SmartShelter to mount to. The highest we have gone is 6 containers on top of each other at a recent project at Ports of Auckland.

We can also arrange modifications to the containers such as side doors.

It is crucial that your container-shelter is properly secured. To ensure you maintain your shelter's wind rating, there are 4 options to secure the containers:

BALLAST: Weight put inside the container. For example concrete blocks, IBC’s, and bulk product. Ideal if you have weighted product on site.
FOOTINGS: Dig holes in the ground on the sides of the containers. Fill with concrete, weld lugs to bottom of conainer, bolt logs to concrete.
SLAB CONNECTION: Bolted to slab. Weld lugs to bottom of conainer, bolt logs to concrete.
GROUND SCREWS: Weld lugs to bottom of conainer, bolt logs to groundscrews. Supplied by a third party, but need engineering from us to quote. Ideal for sloped sites.
